DART Chart works with post-acute long-term care facilities, insurers and government agencies to provide payment integrity and managed care compliance software solutions.
DART Chart’s SMART Case Manager and SMART Contract Manager software integrate with a long term care facilities’ EMR system to provide the necessary analytics for our customers to efficiently manage each patient stay. With over 20 million Medicare days processed and nearly $1 billion in additional provider reimbursements, DART Chart is a leader in revenue cycle management for the long-term care market.
Our History
In 1997, our founders recognized a paradigm shift in the senior care industry as CMS announced the new Prospective Payment System (PPS) for Skilled Nursing Medicare billing. With new Minimum Data Set (MDS) requirements, PPS brought dramatic change and DART Chart provided innovative software solutions that gave facilities deep understanding of PPS and significantly higher Medicare reimbursements.
In 2013, the shift to Managed Care Organizations brought another paradigm shift in Medicare and Medicaid insurance. Admissions and Case Management teams struggled with the wide variation and complexities from managing dozens of MCO contracts. DART Chart again recognized that contracts’ coverage rules can negatively impact revenue and strain already strapped budgets.

John Ansay
CEO
John’s diverse experience in the healthcare industry and insurance industries has made him a valuable member of our Board of Directors since August 2014. He co-founded Equian, LLC – a payment integrity service and technology provider in the health and workers’ comp markets and has also been a Principal for Ansay & Associates (an independent insurance agency) since 1980.
John holds a B.S. in business from Marquette University and the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designations.
Ross Bjella
Managing Director
Ross has been DART Chart’s Managing Director since 2018. He is the former CEO of Dohmen Life Sciences and member of the EIR Partners team.
Ross has over 10 years’ experience leading the development of software for population health analytics, patient advocacy and predictive analytics.
Vicki Girmscheid
Systems Operations Director
Vicki has extensive experience in case management of SNF managed care patients and recovery of outstanding managed care SNF claims in addition to 20 years’ hospital experience with laboratory work, phlebotomy, medical transcription, histology and pathology.
Vicki holds a degree in Health Information Management and a CPC certification.
Tracy Hall
National Sales Director
Tracy is a Long-Term Care Advisor and seasoned senior care expert providing technology solutions and consulting to the healthcare industry for 30 years. His deep and rich long term care foundation is drawn from an intense focus on creating efficiencies and delivering positive outcomes with innovative technologies.
Tracy resides in Indiana with his wife Kelle and their Golden Retriever Kodak, and has four sons. In his spare time, he loves golfing and attending Cincinnati Reds games with the family.
Matt Werner
Operations Technical Director
Matt has 10 years of experience in medical software implementation and technical operations. Matt plays a leading role in both the Operations and Development side of DART Chart, working with clients to achieve and sustain success as well as leading the Dev Team on product enhancement initiatives and development of new products.
In his free time, Matt enjoys reading, writing, traveling, and playing music.
Kathy Whiting
Executive Assistant
Kathy has been with DART Chart for 12 years. She enjoys working with clients and supporting the DART Chart team. Her strong sense of commitment to team work has diversified her knowledge base and enables her to provide outstanding customer service. Kathy holds a Double Associates Degree in Computer Science.

Yolanda is our Client Support Specialist and has been with DART Chart for 16 Years.
She has a proactive passionate approach to supporting our clients and consistently provides hands-on assistance that exceeds our clients’ expectations.
During her free time, she loves to travel, and spend time with her family, pets, and friends.
